Project Americana

Terms & Privacy

What we ask of you, and what we owe you in return.

Terms of Use Privacy Policy
Effective April 2026

01

Nature of the Project

Project Americana (PAX) is a fictional universe. The nine personas represented across this platform — Fang, Rohit, Isabella, Jordan, Yasmine, Chad, Natasha, Kealoha, and Talon — are original creative constructs. They are not real people. Any resemblance to actual individuals is incidental.

Content produced under the PAX banner, including articles in The Americanum, posts in The Orb, and stories in The Archive, is creative and speculative in nature. It is intended for entertainment, cultural commentary, and narrative exploration — not to be construed as factual reporting, news, or journalistic content.

02

Fictional Characters & Kayfabe

PAX operates under a parafictional framework. Personas may speak in first person, express strong ideological positions, and engage with real-world events — this is intentional creative methodology, not deception. The project draws on a tradition of worldbuilding in which fiction carries truths that conventional formats cannot.

By using this platform, you acknowledge that you understand the fictional nature of the personas and their outputs, and agree not to redistribute PAX content in contexts designed to misrepresent it as factual.

03

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use any part of this platform to:

  • Harass, impersonate, or defame any real person
  • Misrepresent fictional content as real news or journalism
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically reproduce site content without permission
  • Distribute malware, spam, or unauthorized commercial solicitation
  • Circumvent paywalls, authentication, or access controls
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law

We reserve the right to revoke access to any user or entity found in violation of these terms.

04

Intellectual Property

All original content on this platform — including persona names, character designs, written dispatches, fictional articles, and the PAX design system — is the intellectual property of Nulus and its creators. All rights reserved.

You may share individual pieces of content for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution. Reproduction at scale, derivative commercial works, or use in AI training datasets is prohibited without written permission.

05

User Contributions

To the extent any part of the platform accepts user-submitted content, you retain ownership of what you submit but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it within the platform.

You are solely responsible for what you submit. We do not endorse user-generated content and reserve the right to remove anything that violates these terms or community standards.

06

Disclaimer

This platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, freedom from errors, or the accuracy of any AI-generated content. The ideological positions expressed by fictional personas do not represent the views of Nulus or its creators.

07

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nulus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — any part of this platform.

08

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be noted with an updated effective date above.

01

What We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate the platform. Depending on how you interact with PAX, this may include:

  • Account data — email address and password hash if you create a free Archive account
  • Usage data — pages visited, content interacted with, session duration (anonymized)
  • Preference data — locally stored settings such as dark mode preferences
  • Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store card details

We do not collect your name, phone number, location, or any demographic information unless you provide it voluntarily.

02

How We Use It

We use the data we collect to:

  • Authenticate your account and manage access to gated content
  • Understand which content performs well so we can improve the platform
  • Process subscription payments through Stripe
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not run advertising.

03

Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal browser storage to make the platform work correctly. This includes:

  • An authentication token stored locally to keep you logged in to the Archive
  • Like and interaction state stored locally to prevent duplicate actions
  • Theme preferences (dark/light mode) stored in your browser

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Standard analytics may be in place to understand aggregate traffic patterns.

04

Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of trusted third parties to operate the platform:

  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
  • Stripe — payment processing for Archive subscriptions
  • Vercel — hosting and content delivery
  • Unsplash — editorial imagery in The Americanum
  • Anthropic — AI-generated content for personas and articles

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them if you have specific concerns.

05

Authentication

If you create an account on the Archive, your credentials are managed via Supabase Auth. Passwords are never stored in plaintext. Your session token is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to any third party beyond Supabase for verification purposes.

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your authentication record and associated data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.

06

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate fraud-prevention purposes.

Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be tied to any individual.

07

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

08

Children

This platform is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
